Part Time Finance Director

This leading city centre law firm have experienced significant growth over the last few years – averaging an increase of 30 – 40% year on year. This growth has seen headcount rise to over 100 staff and has given them a real presence in the market.
Because of this growth they are now looking for a Part Time Finance Director with the capabilities to support them in reviewing all aspects of the existing finance department and implementing new processes that are in line with the firms next phase of exciting growth plans.
It’s going to be busy but rewarding; and will come with the full backing of the senior leadership team.
I have met with the Managing Director, and he has said he will provide whatever tools and resources are needed, with the FD getting the full backing of the business to make positive changes that will impact both the short and long term goals of the firm.
It’s probably worth mentioning this isn’t a business where the department is in a mess; there is an existing finance team and systems that have got the firm to where they are today; this hire is all about bringing in a fresh set of eyes with a new set of skills to help the business push beyond where they are today.
It will be ideal for anyone excited at the thought of an initial short term project to get the department running in a way they see fit; but it has the longer term incentive of being able to sit as the number one in finance taking charge of all commercial and strategic accounting functions for the firm.
This is seen as a crucial appointment and the MD wants someone that isn’t afraid to challenge status quo, someone that can bring ideas to the table and drive change.
With brand new offices that boast all mod cons and state of the art infrastructure, there is even a free on-site gym!
The role is initially on a part time basis of approximately 20 – 25 hours a week which can be spread over 5 days or condensed to full days. Once the initial induction period is over there is also hybrid working available with the role.
