I am supporting a leading independent distributor of chemicals company based in North Manchester who are looking for a HR Officer to join their team. The role will support the HR Manager with general HR duties who is the most supportive manager I have ever spoken to. She is wanting to support the HR Advisor to grow and develop and is offering the potential to mentor you through your CIPD level 7.

As HR Advisor, you will be expected to:

  • Deal with HR queries throughout the business
  • Provide advice to management on employee relations and management issues
  • Deal with all aspects of training and development
  • Monitor, review and update all HR policies and ensuring these are in line with current legislation
  • Offer proactive recruitment assistance
  • Review and update job descriptions
  • Coordinate interviews for any recruitment requirements across the business
  • Support the HR manager with various projects
  • Arrange employment documents for staff

As a HR Advisor, you will have:

  • University degree in Human Resource Management or CIPD Level 5
  • Chemistry at A-Level (advantageous)
  • Previous similar experience
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing your time effectively
