If you are already chasing your future career as a Finance Director then this FC role is going to be one of the quickest ways of getting there.
It’s a really broad role, working for a company with a proven track record of success and ambitious growth plans over the next 12 months.
You will operate as number one in accounts, reporting to the Managing Director and leading the business through the next phase of growth. You will have the support of an external Finance Director that will be your sound board for more strategic decision making but ultimately the role is yours to make your own.
With clear markers for growth over the next few years the plan is for this person to ‘step up’ to Finance Director, and build a team below them.
Day to Day
This role is yours to make your own; you will be involved in everything from full management accounts, VAT and cashflow reporting; through to finalising all of month and year end as the key contact for the external accountants.
There is a small team of 2 AAT studiers to manage that will look to you for support and guidance, alongside an administrator that controls the finance inbox.
It’s an entrepreneurial business, and one where things are constantly changing so the right person for the job will see this as exciting rather than frustrating.

- A proven track record as financial controller or finance manager
- Confident in taking ownership for all aspects of month end
- Ability to produce detailed and credible management accounts
- Hands on, committed and determined personality
- Proven track record in delivering financial information to both finance and non finance contacts
- CIMA / ACCA qualification
