A fantastic opportunity to work alongside a highly entrepreneurial MD, have full ownership of the finance function and implement your own processes, systems and working style.
Currently all MAs and reporting is conducted by the external accountants, so the goal here is bring this in-house and create a month-end schedule for team to follow. Look at this as your very own development project, you will have full control of the end-to-end finance function inclusive of all:
- Monthly management accounts
- Overseeing a small transactional finance team
- Management of cash flow, including preparation of budgets, forecasts
- Collaborating with other departments and team members, including sales, operations, and management, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis
On your profile we are looking for someone who has produced full sets of MAs, has worked in a similar SME environment, is keen to bring ideas and work directly with the MD and someone who genuinely loves the idea of understands finance and the business end-to-end. You will essentially be the MDs financial soundboard, a trusted and respected advisor.
The MD is keen to give you freedom and autonomy, and trust you to manage the company finances whilst still allowing you to put your own stamp on the role. The MD encourages anyone joining the business to implement their own ideas and working styles regardless of their position, and will even give you the opportunity to have a direct input in the decision-making process.
