I’m working with an MD who’s genuinely one of the good ones. Dead chilled. Zero ego. But quietly building something serious.
Project-based business. Fast-paced. Growing. Plenty going on.
What’s missing? Someone to manage the numbers and run these properly so they can rely less on their accountants!
I’ve met this guy; a local lad, he’s incredibly straight-talking, black & white, so if you like this approach, you’ll get on with him like a dream.
He doesn’t want a studier, not someone who is a “bells & whistle” accountant but instead someone who is really salt-of-the-earth, wants to work for an owner-managed business where the MD makes the brews, ask how your family is and genuinely gives a damn about your wellbeing.
Ideal if you want a role in the city centre (it’s right off Trinity Way), the buzz of town but close motorway links!
They want a presence in the office but equally if you need to get your head down for 1-2 days a week from home, that’s absolutely fine – crack on as long as the MD receives the info he needs a month-end!
If you want a role where you’re genuinely valued, have real influence, and work with a good human building a strong business – this is worth a conversation.
