We’re working with a growing, ambitious manufacturing business based in Manchester City Centre, looking to appoint a hands-on Finance Manager to lead the finance function and support operational and strategic decision-making.
This is a high-impact role where you won’t just report results – you’ll help shape them.
The Role
As Finance Manager, you’ll take full ownership of the finance operation, working closely with senior leadership and operational teams to drive margin, control costs, and improve efficiencies across the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning in a manufacturing environment
- Oversee month-end, management accounts and performance reporting
- Deliver detailed cost analysis, margin reporting and variance analysis
- Partner with production and supply chain teams to improve operational performance
- Manage cash flow, working capital and financial controls
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal governance
- Lead, mentor and develop the finance team
About You
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager (or Senior Management Accountant ready to step up)
- Strong manufacturing background with a solid understanding of cost control and operational finance
- Commercially astute and confident influencing senior stakeholders
- Hands-on, proactive and comfortable working on-site within a fast-paced environment
