This company has a plan set out for the next recruit so in 2 years you will have achieved the following:

– Producing full sets of management accounts for your own entity including of commentary & analysis

– ACCA/ CIMA Qualified or be a finalist

– Mentoring and supervising your own transactions team

So that’s the challenge for the FC – getting you to this stage so that in two years’ time, you’re knocking on her door asking what opportunities are available.

They will do everything they can to accommodate you in order for you to make that step up; if however there are no opportunities available, they will shake your hand and understand you will need to move on – after all, she has been in your shoes!

Your skills will be so superior at the end of these 2 years than other Assistant Accountants in the market so you will be perfectly positioned to apply for your first role as a newly qualified accountant.

You will receive support, guidance, and mentorship along the way – if you don’t aim to qualify in 2 years and want to go at your own pace, absolutely no pressure! You dictate your own progression plan and how quickly you do this is down to you; but if you are chasing FC status, you will be given all the tools to be able to do this.

The business offers all employees £50 a month towards commuter costs – the great thing is, even if you have 0 commuter costs, you are still entitled to this – that’s £600 a year in free money to spend on yourself!
