An increase in on-line retail sales over the last 12 months has resulted in this established retailer experiencing one of their strongest performances over the last quarter, and as a result they are looking add a quality AAT Studier to the team.
Make no mistake this is a challenging role, the business is expanding and the Directors are keen to take advantage of more and more people using online shopping. Therefore there are new systems being introduced, constant reviews of processes and procedures and a drive that runs throughout the business to want to get even better.
However as a result of this it gives the successful candidate an opportunity to be part of something exciting, you will be able to fast track your learning because of the people that work around you, you can push yourself as the company will encourage you to do so, and you will be made to feel like your hard work is valued and appreciated.
The role itself will involve reporting to a Qualified Management Accountant and supporting in the production of the monthly accounts.
It will be your responsibility to produce the relevant financial information that will be reviewed and then utilized to produce the final management accounts. Over time your role will naturally evolve, and it is anticipated that alongside continuing with your studies you will eventually move into a full Management Accounting role.
To be considered for the position you must have previous accounting knowledge, and you will ideally be studying towards a relevant finance qualification. You must have ambition and drive and excellent communication skills.
