It’s working at a small; family run firm of accountants in Stockport with 9 staff….everyone gets along, the bosses treat everyone the same and the expectations are do a good job while you are here, forget about work when you are not.
There are no targets or pressures to get through work because the partners have taken on more work than they can handle; there is a steady flow of regular clients passing through – and the partners are happy with that.
The emphasis here is on quality over quantity, most of the businesses you will support have been clients for a long time, so it’s more about building relationships and really getting to understand them on a personal level.
Nobody is looking over your shoulder: you will be given the autonomy to manage your own days and weeks, of course there is plenty of support if you need it but you will be allowed to ‘get on with it’ unless you raise a hand for help.
Your role will be a real mix of Bookkeeping, Year End Accounts, Vat and some Tax work; there is training available to plug any gaps in your experience and on-going support while you get to grips with your new role.
Anyone applying must have previous experience at a UK firm of accountants (minimum of 12 months) and be looking for a business where they can stay.
