Having met with the Director of this business, this is a great opportunity to work in a relaxed working environment with a Director who is calm, steady and reliable, not to mention he runs a hugely successful company! Whoever is taken on for the role, they are incredibly lucky!

The chosen candidate will be the solo person in the finance department, and will have total autonomy with regards to the books, and for this reason the Director and staff force will have complete respect and trust for the chosen Bookkeeper, as without you, the business could not operate efficiently and become as profitable as they aspire to be.
The role has become vacant due to the fact that the current Bookkeeper, who has worked with the company for 10 years, has decided to retire, she has done an excellent job during her tenure, and has maintained the smooth running of the accounts. You will have a 2 month handover period to ensure a smooth transition, as well as to ensure you can be safe in the knowledge that you are being set up with a clean, tidy ledgers with happy suppliers and customers.
Ultimately you will manage the day to day transactional accounting, liaise with the Director and external accountants at month end, both of whom have been with the company for over 20 years and have a wealth of knowledge which they are keen to share!
This is the ideal role for you to spend the rest of your life at until you feel like retiring, they are not looking for an ambitious go getter who is seeking progression through the ranks, if that’s what you’re looking for, then unfortunately this job is not for you – but instead seek a confident and experienced Bookkeeper who knows what he likes, and likes what he knows!
