If you have always wanted to have a career in accounts, or maybe you have some experience but are looking for a better place to work this company ticks all the right boxes.

The business is safe, secure, and stable – you will have the support of the rest of the finance team and FD but at the same time be trusted to get on with your work, with no micro-managing and no one looking over your shoulder.

To be considered for the role, you must understand how an office functions and are confident in liaising with internal & external stakeholders including customers and suppliers.

You will bridge the gap between the accounts & admin team, speaking to suppliers & customers, processing invoices & payments and should you prove yourself in this role, this will open doors to moving into the accounts team.

You will then work with an Accounts Manager (who started in this very role and she’s now progressed to this level) who will act as your mentor and give you the opportunity to support her with her workload and gain experience in month-end procedures.

You will not be thrown in at the deep end and be expected to “get on with it” – the training you receive will be tailored to suit how you work best; the Accounts Manager to this day still receives support and guidance from the Finance Director on a regular basis.

I went down to meet the Accounts Manager and was impressed with how approachable and welcoming she was; she seems like an amazing person to work for who is understanding and flexible; if you have an appointment during working hours or you have young kids and need to pick them up from school, she is so laidback and relaxed.

There is also the opportunity to work from home for 3 days a week once you have passed probation and they are more than happy to pay for the AAT qualification!
