When I asked the Finance Director this business what he was looking for from his next recruit, he told me this:
“An individual who will be listed as a senior figure on our meet the team page in the next 5 years. A Trainee Accountant who has the potential to move up the ranks and become a Management Accountant and tell me in their appraisals that they want to become FC… we’ll then make sure this happens”

A lot of roles at this level have a shelf life of 1-2 years; you go in and earn your stripes but then realistically you’ve reached as far as you can go at that business.

There is no pre-requisite to have accounts experience – just bags of energy & enthusiasm. If you have the right attitude, the business has all the tools & resources to train you.
The business can not only fund your accountancy qualification (this doesn’t stop at AAT, you can then continue onto ACCA or CIMA) and you will be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on company performance, health & wellness allowance of £150 a month and days off during study periods without using your annual leave.
