This Semi Senior role in Huddersfield is your chance to work for a large, dynamic and well established firm of accountants without having to commute into Manchester or Leeds. Unlike a lot of firms in the area your client portfolio will be great; they have the market share of the regions best clients with companies averaging turnovers between Β£2 – Β£8million meaning there is plenty for you to get stuck into on their accounts.
Your core duties will include:
- Responsible for the preparation of accounts for a portfolio of clients (mainly Ltd companies)
- Preparing and reviewing Monthly managements accounts
- Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
- Yearend accounts preparation
- Hosting Quarterly Catch Ups with my clients
- Preparing Self-Assessment and CT tax returns
- Completing ΒΌ catch up with clients
Its quality over quantity here so you will be allocated your own portfolio that you will work with on an annual basis; allowing you to get to grips with the intricacies of their business allowing you to provide better accounting advice.
There is a comprehensive study package available for ACA or ACCA along with on the job training and support from the wider team.
Hybrid working and flexi hours are both available – allowing you to work the job around commitments outside of work and not the other way around.
To be considered you must have current, UK experience at a firm of accountants (minimum 12 months) along with a pro-active approach to your work.
