This is genuinely a brilliant role for someone with Sales Ledger experience to form a partnership with the Purchase Ledger Clerk to manage the transactional finance function!

If you’re a Sales Ledger Clerk who loves interacting with clients and stakeholders but doesn’t necessarily like chasing debt or managing the credit control – there is no pressure in this job to do so as they have a separate team who manages this.

Your responsibility is to ensure all customers and invoiced correctly and billed on time – with no expectation to hit debtor day targets.

There are few Sales Ledger positions on the market that involve no Credit Control – however this position requires an individual who loves the “back office” Sales Ledger function of managing the whole process for the customer but having no stresses or worries about whether they’ve paid.

From day one, you’ll have a clean ledger which is up to date; there’s no backlog of calls, outstanding queries, or invoices but because of your expertise, you may recognise areas of improvement or processes that could be streamlined so the FC has told me he’s happy to listen to suggestions.

I met with the FC and was blown away with how friendly, laidback, and open he is; he is so understanding and is more than happy to be accommodating for an individual who has children or commitments outside of work – so can offer flexibility around start and finish times and the chance to work from home 2 days a week.
