This role is for someone who is passionate about payroll and likes to have the flexibility to process SSP, P45’s, or yearend payroll in the comfort of their own home or in the office.

Payroll Clerks are often seen as behind-the-scenes heroes, quietly ensuring that every employee is compensated accurately and on time. However, in the background lies a dynamic and rewarding position that continuously evolves and forever brings challenges. As the client is already looking for someone with payroll experience, I’m sure you already know this!

With the flexibility to work from home 2 days a week, and the option to choose said days this business encourages staff to have a good work/life balance. The Payroll Manager fully understands that people don’t want to commute into the office 5 days a week and wonders how staff did it pre-covid.

As it is an end-to-end role, you will be handling and processing complex payroll queries, calculating sick and maternity pay and dealing directly with HMRC. It is essential you have a good telephone manner and genuinely care about getting to the bottom of your fellow employee’s queries.
