It really was a ‘breath of fresh air’ to meet with the Founder of this exciting new and innovative business who is looking to hire a Head of Finance / Financial Controller with a ‘can do’ attitude to support her in bringing the Accounting function inhouse and to manage all things accounts along with improving the accounting systems, introducing controls and providing the board with essential strategy information to support the longer-term growth journey of the business. As this is a brand new opportunity, you’ll really be able to make your mark on this role and shape and form the finance department as you will.
Your input being absolutely business critical for the financial health and success of this great new business. This is a business that after just 1 year, has already reached a turnover of Β£1million and that is projecting a more or less guaranteed turnover of Β£3million for 2024! The founder already has several other business ventures that are growing from strength to strength, and she believes in a truly inclusive environment where anyone can thrive.
Although this role is currently only part-time (2-3 days per week with flexible working hours) the opportunity of the role becoming full-time could be likely within 2 years. You will be able to work remotely or in the offices in Liverpool and you should be within a commutable distance to take part in the monthly management meetings.
You could be qualified or QBE, with experience in any type of industry. All we ask for is that you are open-minded, forward thinking and not afraid to use technology, make changes and challenge the status quo. In a small and growing business you may have to wear multiple hats, but if you’re ‘hands on’ then you’ll love this role!
