If you are an ambitious Management Accountant that is looking for a business where you can really challenge yourself with the incentive of a jump to Finance Manager in the future this is the role for you.
You will be reporting to the Finance Manger who wants you…to want their job – that’s the plan.
With retirement on the horizon the current Finance Manager has been tasked to find his replacement, someone that he can mentor over the next 12 – 18 months with this person then taking the reins when he leaves.
It’s a really rare opportunity, and one which will allow you to build on your existing Management accounts experience knowing that the hard work you put in will get you to that next step in your career.
You’ll be business facing – networking across the company to understand what makes it successful – drilling into efficiencies, P&L variances and performance against budget, making it commercially interesting and valuable career experience.
The role will suit someone that is at the latter stages of their ACCA / CIMA or is newly qualified and now focussed on getting to that next level in their career.
You must be prepared to work hard, this isn’t a role for someone who wants to sit back in the shadows; its an opportunity that the company wants the successful candidate to be grabbing with both hands.
If you do this, implement what you are being taught and show a passion for what you are doing it’s anticipated the step up to Finance Manager will come between 12 – 18 months.
To be considered you must have previous relevant management accounts experience, previous experience in discussing MI / management accounts packs with non finance audiences and an ability to work to strict reporting deadlines.
