I have just met with a brilliant client based in Bury seeking a Management Accountant to join their dedicated and accomplished finance team, offering you hybrid working, a market-leading benefits package, and even study support if you are wanting to qualify.
After visiting the offices today, I’ve gained a real insight into how the company operates and there is a massive emphasis on teamwork. The business is looking for someone to become a valued member of the finance team and have longevity in the role, someone who will be fully involved in the monthly meetings/socials, and someone who is a great collaborator, happy to speak up if they have a question and maintain a strong line of communication with the team, even when working from home.
You will need at least 2 years’ experience producing management accounts end-to-end autonomously. Initially you will be producing the management accounts for the parent company, and once you are confident with the processes and systems you will take the lead role in producing the first ever set of management accounts for 2 subsidiary companies.
This is a fantastic opportunity and challenge. You will be the first person to produce detailed accounts for the subsidiaries, offering space for you to implement your own ideas and processes – something that will look very attractive on your CV!
You will be reporting into and working closely alongside the Senior Management Accountant who has been with the business a number of years so has a wealth of knowledge for you to learn from. The senior MA understands your role inside out as well as the demands of the environment – he has been in the position so can give you valuable, first-hand advice on how to thrive within the company.
Your role will be diverse with no two days being the same; as well as ensuring the management accounts are prepared accurately and to deadlines, you’ll also play a lead role in maintaining good internal control with respect to the General Ledger and all sub-ledgers – you certainly won’t be bored!
