Bags of exposure, commercial awareness, reporting, group level management accounting, hands-on involvement in expansion plans, business modelling, mentoring responsibilities moulding you into a manager…I could go on and on.
Why is the role available?
The short answer is, growth.
Group t/o currently stands at circa £70million, with no signs of this slowing down.
You will be responsible for 2/3 entities in the group, producing full sets of management accounts, ensuring the onwards expansion and development of the business. Working closing alongside and reporting into an accomplished Finance Director who is dedicated to plugging any knowledge gaps you may have.
The FD is hands-on, he is there to ensure you have all the support necessary to develop both on a professional and personal level – this is someone who is as committed and engaged.
When will progression happen?
The plan is to develop you into the Financial Controller for the whole group, the speed at which you ‘step up’ is completely dictated by YOU and your ambition – if you surpass expectations and excel, there no reason why you wouldn’t become the Financial Controller in the next couple of years – the possibilities here are massive!
Am I the right fit for the role?
This role requires someone with solid management accounts experience, someone who is either qualified or nearly qualified looking to develop their commercial awareness and progress to the next level. What’s fantastic here is you don’t need to have Group experience to be successful in the role, the FD will coach you on this and ensure you are fully confident with intercompany transactions, banks, invoicing etc…
The main thing here is your ambition, drive and ability to create full sets of management accountant autonomously to a high level.
