Platinum are representing a well-established, service-based SME in Wigan, in sourcing a Financial Controller to add to their growing teamโฆ
The business stands at c. ยฃ5million t/o, and you’ll resume full responsibility of 2 x direct reports, working in a finance team of 4. It’s a small team, so we need diligent, hands-on candidates, who aren’t afraid to dig into every area of accounting.
You’ll oversee an Accounts Assistant and Credit Controller, reviewing and signing off work, upskilling the team in month-end tasks, and you’ll prepare all management accounts, analysis and reporting for submission to the Finance Director and owners.

On your profile, the Directors are looking for a self-starter, a Financial Controller who can provide them with real insights, guide teams effectively and dig into the accounts, someone who sees a task outstanding and completes it when everyone else is tied up. It’s an SME so you’ve got to be adaptable.
