Speaking with the Group FD, a fantastic, personable leader, he looks at this FC role being an absolute critical hire for the business – he wants you to work together as an unstoppable team. The Group FD is massive on TEAM, its impressive to see the dynamic created since his appointment 3 years ago – this is someone you would want to be your No.1.
The current size of the business offers a great opportunity for you to hone your skills and gain a complete understanding of the entire operation end-to-end; this foundation of knowledge will serve you greatly as t/o grows and demands increase.
You will be encourage, supported and urged to implement your own working style, giving you complete autonomy over the finance function. The business is evolving quickly and there is the need for systems and processes to be put in place/adapted to align with, and further encourage the overall goal of growth. You can implement this changes as you see fit; whether that’s advancing a process or system to improve efficiencies – you will be the driver.
What’s brilliant here, is that despite the freedom mentioned above, you will have the complete and unwavering support of the Group FD – he is there facilitate your plans and will step in to support when needed.
