Platinum have been exclusively retained by a longstanding client of ours to appoint their new Financial Controller, a phenomenal opportunity for an ambitious Senior Accountant with construction experience.
The business is looking for someone to bring new ideas, approach finance from a commercial perspective and business partner with the Board of Directors on scale-up plans for 2025.
You’ll be joining a nation-wide, well-established group, operating across 4 major cities with plans to expand further and t/o is forecasted to grow by 25% in 2025. They need someone passionate about leading finance through a growth phase and enhancing processes to align with increasing demands and complexities.
You’ll inherit a fantastic team of 4 finance staff and report into the Finance Director, however the Finance Director isn’t based in Manchester, so you’ll need to be comfortable in acting as No.1 on a day-to-day basis. The FD will be exiting the business in the next couple of years, so the successful candidate in this assignment will be given the opportunity to progress into his position and become the official No.1 in finance.
This is undeniably a hands-on position, you’ll be running the finance department and overseeing all day-to-day tasks, as well as leading the month-end process and producing the Board pack for presentation. The Board of Directors have stressed, they want someone with the ability to enhance the current processes and packs, modernising them with visualisations, commercial insights and market trends.
To be capable of achieving the outlined plans, you will need determination, a strong business and commercial acumen and the gravitas to implement change and challenge the status quo. If this sounds like you, and you have proven experience at SLT levels within a construction settings, apply now.
