If you feel ready to take the leap into a varied and commercial Financial Controller role, this is exactlty what you’re looking for.
The business is cash-rich with a turnover of £27 million, based in Cheadle with a strong lean towards hybrid working.
The Finance Director is fab, approachable, experienced and down to earth – a great mentor who will offer you advice, encouragement and support.
As this is a new role due to the ongoing success of the business, you’ll be able to take on a much responsibility from the Finance Director’s remit as you like and in essence rewarding yourself with the exposure you’ll need on the path the FD.
You’ll have to take it easy though – there’s lots to learn and Rome wasn’t built in a day. You could start with managing the team and ensuring smooth month end procedures and from there pick up the business partnering, analysis and MI discussions, taking the lead with a new software install. There are mergers and acquisitions on the cards, so that could keep you busy next year too!
It’d be great if you were already CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified with several years of Finance experience to rely on. Ambition, great interpersonal skills, down to earth and experience of managing a small team would be ideal.
