An exceptional opportunity for an ambitious, dynamic Accountant to join a growing SME set on forming a group structure under the leadership of a phenomenal young Managing Director. Joining at an exciting time of modernisation, with the implementation of PowerBi, brand new purpose-built offices and infrastructure investment.
They are looking for someone ready to take total ownership of the finance function from the ground up, everything from the ledgers up to management accounts production on a monthly basis for the MD and Board. It’s a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Management Accountant looking for increased responsibility, taking their first step to Finance Manager.
- Exposure: You will be the MD’s right hand for all things finance related. She wants to include you in all senior management meetings, growth strategy modelling and investor meetings.
- Management Accounts: End-to-end production with commentary and variance analysis.
- Margins: Maintaining an accurate financial overview of key projects including cost allocation, reconciliation and margin analysis
- Input & influence: Recommend improvements where needed to drive efficiencies and maximise working capital
- B&F: Management of cash flow, including preparation of budgets, forecasts and optimizing working capital and liquidity
- Day-to-day: Ledger management, recs, postings, invoicing etcβ¦
Currently this is a standalone role, so you’ll need to be comfortable with getting involved in all aspects of accounts and working autonomously but be assured, you will have the support of the MD. The MD has a strong financial background and formerly operated as a Finance Director, so she’s a great source of guidance where needed.
The MD champions slick reporting, visualization tools and modern tech and she have a clear growth strategy set for the next 3years, this is set up and ready to be achieved they just require the last part of the infrastructure (YOU) in place in order to manage the growth.
Over the next 3years you’ll be tasked with recruiting a team to keep up with demand, and in turn will progress in seniority within the finance structure – There’s no one above you so progression is yours for the taking.
