Overseeing a well-established finance team of 2 who cover all AP/AR work, your focus will be to produce the monthly management accounts, maintain a 13wk rolling cashflow forecast and provide the Directors with strategic insights to drive profitability and growth.
Chatting with the MD, he’s very open and honest about the fact that certain financial processes and systems could be improved, so he’s all-ears to new ideas and procedures to improve efficiencies. He’s keen to see you implement new ways of working so it’s a phenomenal opportunity to really put your own stamp on the role. Having visited the offices and chatted at length with the MD, what’s of the upmost importance of him is someone who will align with their company culture.
It was so refreshing for the MD to facilitate a meeting where we could meet the whole team; we chatted with Sales, Account Managers, the Finance Department, the Commercial Director and the portfolio FD. This has given us the opportunity to ask the team what it’s really like to work there, and also meet the finance department who you will be managing.
What’s clear from these conversations and just from looking around the office is that the company-culture is phenomenal. The team-dynamic, the collaboration between desks, the way everyone asked if we wanted a brew, you can clearly see an office culture of warmth and teamwork – it’s somewhere you would go to work and genuinely enjoy your job, cheesy to say but it’s true.
