With a turnover of £5million and a small group of 4 companies you will operate as Finance Manager, reporting to the MD and leading a small team of 3.
The business is entrepreneurial, forward thinking and offers someone a great opportunity to take the lead in all finance operations, including managing all year end with the external accountants.
The role offers it all, you will have autonomy to run the department in your own style, with the backing, support and resources you need provided by the MD. As the previous FM had been with the company for a number of years there is an appetite from the leadership team for the new Finance Manager to look at where processes and improvements can be made, and the full backing to implement those changes.
There are new ventures launching which you will be involved with, and it represents a chance to really feel like you are part of a business, contributing to strategic decisions based on the financial information you provide.
This is a role for someone who wants to get stuck in and feel the impact they are having on a company. You will be given full transparency on all business matters, and will be involved in monthly board meetings as part of the senior leadership team.
The accounts are interesting and they are varied. There are challenges like in every job but the business is cash rich so doesn’t have to worry about some of the cash flow issues you associate with a lot of SME’s.
Management Accounts, budgets, P & L, cash flow analysis are all part of your day to day tasks along with running the financials for the various projects they run.
Its going to suit someone confident in leading a department, someone that has a voice and would be attracted to the opportunity to see their hard work impacting the success of the firm.
