This role is best suited to a seasoned and qualified Finance Manager, who has seen it all in an SME Finance environment. Working in partnership with the Directors, you’ll enjoy managing a small and experienced Finance team, form part of the senior leadership team and play a pivotal role in the success of the business.
Currently standing at an impressive £30 million turnover, this cash-rich service business can offer its new Finance Manager a wide variety of accounting tasks, the odd new challenge and the opportunity to make any changes that will ultimately benefit the business.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
- Overall management/responsibility of the finance department
- Ensuring month end process
- Production of monthly management accounts:
- Bank & Supplier reconciliations (GBP, USD, EUR)
- Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Accruals/prepayments
- Month end journals
- Preparing P&L and Balance Sheet
- Expense variance analysis
- Operations expense reporting
- Monthly VAT return submission
- Point of contact for HMRC on all tax matters and ensuring liabilities are paid on time
- Point of contact for external Auditors at Year end
- Review payroll reports and authorise payment
- Review and payment of staff expenses
- AP/AR review
- Weekly cash flow forecast
- Cash flow management (minimising overdraft use where possible)
