For the past 12 months, this business has completely exceeded expectations – in fact, by the end of 2023, they will be a £1billion pound turnover company. However, despite this – they maintain one of the most close-knit team I have had the pleasure of working with!
They’ve had a conservative hiring strategy but are now in the position to recruit a full-time Finance Administrator to work in a dual role supporting across two departments.
You won’t be overwhelmed, overworked or be all-consumed by this position; the whole reason they’re recruiting is so that the workload is distributed evenly amongst staff.
You will work in tandem with a Senior Accountant who will act as your mentor and you will provide support sales and purchase ledger management, credit control and query resolution as well as assisting with overseeing the general administration for the business.
In terms of future opportunities to progress, the business will sit you down in an annual appraisal once you’re settled & confident in the role to map out career options as they do love to promote from within and in fact, 90% of the management team started at this company in more junior roles.
It’s then up to you to decide what role plays to your strengths; all I can say is the business retains its staff extremely well – I’ve worked with them for 6 years and have loved watching how each candidate has developed and how the business has accommodated for each individual’s career aspirations.
This is a great role if work / life balance is a priority for you; whether you have hobbies outside of work so need flexibility around start of finish times or whether you have children so need to do the school run each day, the Directors are so understanding of personal circumstances and as long as your hours are worked each week, they’re certainly not going to be checking up on you or micro-managing – as long as the work is completed!
