There is the need for a tenacious, pro-active, and no-nonsense Credit Controller; these are the attributes they’re looking for.
However, what is also absolutely critical is bringing in someone who can keep customers happy – these are multi-million-pound clients that the company is proud to work with so it’s essential you maintain these relationships.
The company operates within the construction industry, so you’ll be liaising directly with Quantity Surveyors throughout the month for payments on particular projects – therefore this isn’t the case of just firing over a reminder email; you need to be in regular contact in order to retrieve the debt.
The finance team currently manage the Credit Control but as the business continues winning more contracts, it’s essential they set up a Credit Control function for someone to come in, “grab the bull by the horns” and really take ownership of the debtors’ ledger.
The business is stable and well-established with an incredible reputation in the local area – so they need someone who operates with the same values; someone who is willing to put the work in and genuinely wants to contribute to the company’s ongoing success.
