This amazing role for a Company Accountant position highlights an opportunity for someone with a strong finance background who values work-life balance. You’ll lead the accounts function of a successful SME with support from the Operations Director, who has a strong finance background. This isn’t a complex role, this is a role that is hands on but without the added pressures. It is ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy and wants to play a key role in financial decision-making within a supportive and friendly environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monthly Management Accounts: Full responsibility for preparing and presenting monthly management accounts.
- Month-End Processes: Handling prepayments, accruals, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Invoice Processing: Ensuring accurate and timely processing of sales and purchase invoices.
- VAT Returns and Tax Liaison: Overseeing VAT returns and serving as the main point of contact for HMRC on tax matters.
- Cash Flow Management: Managing and forecasting cash flow across multiple currencies.
- Accounts Receivable and Payable Management: Overseeing AR and AP ledgers, processing transactions, and implementing credit control.
- Bank and Auditor Liaison: Acting as the primary contact for daily banking operations and liaising with auditors.
