An opportunity to lead on an implementation project!
This well-established, thriving SME is looking for their first senior hire due to phenomenal growth within the business, seeing their t/o reach Β£15million this year.
As the Company Accountant, you’ll initially come in and get to grips with the existing processes, supported by a PL clerk. At this moment in time, they don’t have full sets of management accounts or detailed reporting in placeβ¦You will implement this.
This is a brand new position in the business intended to increase visibility for the Directors and aid in strategic planning and projects, you will:
- Implement an MA pack with margins broken down by each project
- Work directly with the business owner to understand the budgeting process, current business forecasts and total financial outlook for the operation
- Implement your own working style, ideas and processes
- You will be supported by a PL clerk, but this is a totally hands on role; end-to-end accounting, from processing invoices to full cashflow forecasting, budgeting, PNL analysis, VAT returns and management accounts – so you need to be happy doing it all.
The opportunity here to really steer and drive the financial direction of the business is huge. The MD is wanting your expertise, consultancy and ideas – he’s all ears! On your background, we’re looking for a Company Accountant with experience in a similar role, within an SME environment, with a well-rounded skillset from a transactional level up to MAs. Qualifications aren’t the be-all and end-all for this business, experience trumps papers in this MDs mind, so we’re happy to accept applications from QBE-level upwards.
