About the business:
You will be joining a thriving business who have a varied and growing portfolio. The MD is hugely entrepreneurial and is constantly seeking new acquisitions so the scope of opportunities on offer is massive. You will report into the Financial Director, a dedicated and encouraging leader who believes in flexibility, openness and rewarding staff. A parent themselves, the FD fully understands the pressures of juggling a career with daily life, so is in complete support of ensuring flexibility – it’s all about balance.

Chatting with the FD, it’s clear this is probably one of the most unique opportunities for a qualified accountant in the market right now. You will be working with a range of companies all requiring different levels of support; some need their finance function building from the ground up, some are fully operational and need assistance with ad hoc projects etc. The variety this role offers means you will need a strong basis in management accounting, controls, and exposure across the full range of financial processes. You will implement systems where you see fit, be involved in acquisitions, deals and so much moreβ¦
A massive part of the role involves business partnering with ops departments, liaising with non-finance staff, building strong relationship with MDs, stakeholders and board members – you will have a full understanding of the end-to-end running of a business. You rarely see this level of exposure in a typical FM role.
