The Managing Director is looking for a bookkeeper who can prepare accounts up to Trial Balance initially however there will be the opportunity to move into more complex duties and at this point they will hire additional staff to handle the transactional finance.
In this role you will be able to utilise and expand your knowledge as a bookkeeper, including VAT returns, P & L, and providing various analysis for the MD. There will be a degree of producing management accounts in this role, each day will be different, and you’ll certainly be challenged – certainly no clock watching here!
As the business organically grows you will be able to develop and essentially run the finance department and make your own changes as you see fit.
The MD offers a relaxed approach, where you won’t be micromanaged, and no one will be questioning what you’re doing as long as you’re confident in looking after the company’s finances you’ll definitely feel a sense of achievement in this role.
