I am excited to be supporting a well-established tech company based in Salford Quays looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join the busy team. The tech industry is currently booming and with the business winning multiple contracts they are now looking to expand the team.

The business will always promote within and offer structured career development. You could be working autonomously on your own set of management accounts as soon as 12 months in. To really succeed in this role, you need to be very ‘hands-on’ and enjoy asking questions.

The Finance Manager is requesting that candidates have some knowledge of management accounts / month-end processes, as they want someone who can hit the ground running. You will be able to build on your knowledge and get involved with the following:

Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.

Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.

Collaborate with different departments to gather financial data and ensure its accuracy and completeness.

Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic planning initiatives.

Contribute to financial audits and assist in the preparation of audit schedules.

Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts to maintain accurate financial records.

Support the implementation and enhancement of financial systems and processes.
