ยฃ31,000 per annum
37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday (Working from home one day per week pending successful probation)

Reporting to: Senior Management Accountant, Finance Department

We’re thrilled to announce an opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join their finance department as they continue to grow and expand. Situated in a prime location in Warrington, their offices boasts excellent transport connections, conveniently accessible via public transit and major motorways (just a 5-minute drive from the M62 and M6 junctions). This business is in a pivotal stage of growth and development, yet they maintain the familial atmosphere that defines their culture. As a member of their small, dynamic, and welcoming team, you’ll receive ample support from experienced management and enjoy regular social events with colleagues.
**Responsibilities:**
– Prepare monthly management accounts, including accruals and prepayments, month-end journals, variance analysis, intercompany reconciliation, and nominal reviews.
– Compile debtors reports and assist with credit control.
– Reconcile balance sheets.
– Fulfill ad hoc reporting and tasks as necessary.
– Perform office administration duties, including answering incoming calls.
**Essential Skills and Experience:**
– Proven experience in accounting roles.
– Familiarity with accounting software, preferably Xero.
– Meticulous attention to detail.
– Proficiency in Excel.
– Strong organisational skills.
– Effective communication skills with excellent telephone etiquette.
