Based in Stretford my client is now looking for an Assistant Accountant to join the finance team and contribute to the ongoing success of the firm.
You will be reporting directly into the Finance Director who you will work closely with on a day to day basis to close off the company ledgers and support in producing the monthly accounts.
This is a role for someone who likes to be kept busy. There is no doubt the position will be challenging, there are weekly and monthly deadlines to be achieved however the exposure you will get and the opportunities it will create for your future career are second to none.
Day to day you will be picking up where the transactional team finishes, reconciling all the ledgers and then using the information to pull together the monthly accounts.
This role is interesting, you will be able to get a real insight into how the business is performing, along with the opportunity to shadow the FD as they make strategic financial business decisions based on how the company is performing.
Although you wont be producing Management Accounts to start with, this role will very much lead you in the direction of this, and its anticipated that within 6-12 months the Management Accounts would form part of your role.

To be considered for the role you must have previous, relevant finance experience and you will ideally be studying towards a professional qualification although this is not essential.
