Finding a job that offers structured career progression is hard, however luckily for you, this client can promise exposure to management accounts as soon as 6 months in!
Working for an established fitness company, you’ll start by getting stuck in and helping cover the transactional finance. It is crucial you understand all aspects of transactional finance before tackling the complexities of management accounts. However, on average, this has only taken candidates 6 months to grasp.
Once you feel confident and ready to move into management accounts, you will be working closely with the Management Accountant underpinning his work. You can expect to receive exposure in the following:
- Assisting with the production of board packs and commentary
- Closing down the purchase and sales ledger at the end of the month
- Accruals and prepayments
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Reviewing the fixed asset register
- P&L
