This is the role that will take you from accomplished transactional accountant to producing the management accounts for your own entity in as little as 12-18 months!

And proof is in the pudding as that’s just happened with another member of the team who will be your mentor in this role; so he knows EXACTLY what he takes to get there.

This business wants a go-getter; someone who is ambitious, driven and really doesn’t want to be stuck in a clerical finance, data processing role for the next few years – this senior finance team don’t believe in wasting talent, they believe in reinforcing it!

Since the arrival of their Financial Controller 18 months ago, he has REVOLUTIONISED the accounts team – bringing in new processes, streamlining systems and operating as a “new-age” FC that invites everyone into the Board Meetings and encourages everyone to voice their opinion – from the apprentices to the qualified accountants!

There is a separate transactions team that are self-sufficient and completely have the Purchase and Sales Ledger in hand so you can kiss goodbye to processing invoices all day and instead focus on assisting with pulling together board packs, reporting and analysing.

There are multiple entities within the group and the ultimate goal is to have an FC for each of these, so the long-term plan is to support, develop and guide you into feeling comfortable enough to step into this role.

Alongside this, a full study package is provided for ACCA/ CIMA so it would be useful if you are progressing well with AAT or are already qualified.
