What an opportunity to oversee your own team – yet still be on the frontline getting stuck into the AP function yourself!
Although prior supervisory experience would be beneficial it’s not a pre-requisite for this role; instead, as long as someone has proven AP experience, if you want to step up into a more senior role, this is the business to do it at!
You will be responsible for managing a member of the AP team – he is extremely self-sufficient and certainly doesn’t need hand-holding however you will act as a mentor, support and day to day buffer for any queries that may arise.
You must have experience in AP yourself; it’s a pretty hands-on role as you will also roll your sleeves up and pay suppliers, process invoices, prepare payment runs – so the beauty of the role is it’s a good balance of managing but also getting involved yourself!
There will be regular meetings with the senior management team (consisting of FC and FD) and they are more than happy to listen to any ideas you have for motivating the team, streamlining processes and making life easier for everyone – so your suggestions will always be welcome!
