This is the role which will take you from Accounts Assistant to Assistant Accountant in as quickly as 6 months!

It’s the perfect position for an individual who has gained experience in transactional finance but has reached “the peak” at their current company and can so no room for development.

The Finance Manager is absolutely fantastic; he is not protective of his workload, he’s not precious about letting go of month-end and management accounts tasks – in fact, he’s more than happy to pass on his knowledge and expertise.

You must be accomplished in transactional finance; this is a pre-requisite. With these foundations, the FM will open the floor to you and your development. Want exposure into reporting? Great, he’ll show you the ropes. Want more involved in the management accounts pack? Perfect, he’ll make sure you get it!

Whether this takes 6 months, 12 months, or 2 years – there’s no set timeline mapped out; it’s down to you. If you’re a go-getter then great but if you’d rather progress organically, this is also fine.

The business requires an individual who wants to work in the office 5 days a week; the company has noticed how this has really helped with their training programme as it means each new starter has so much support at their fingertips rather than having to wait for a response over Teams!
