This business can offer you a transactional finance role where you will have full reign of the ledgers but know once it gets to the end of the day, you can switch off.
They are recruiting this role due to signing new contracts so because of an increase in workload, they want to ensure they put no additional pressure on their existing team – but instead, add value with another member of staff.
This summarises exactly what this business is like – listening to the needs of its team, never overworking or piling the pressure on but recognising where support is needed, and actioning this!
You will join a transactions team of 2 where the ledgers are clean and tidy; there is no backlog of aged debt and piles of invoices that haven’t been processed; you will begin your role by taking on the new customers and suppliers that have been signed up.
What this means for you is a clean slate – the opportunity to build relationships from scratch, which the business prides itself on doing and is the reason their customer and supplier retention rates are so high.
The role will be split 50/50 purchase & sales ledger and it’s up to yourself to shape your working week, if you decide to spend Monday – Wednesday morning manging the purchase ledger and then remainder of the week on sales ledger, you don’t need to run this past your manager as she won’t be watching over your shoulder.
You will manage the entire process with your suppliers and customers, a manageable amount of accounts to fill your day but not too many that you’re having to log on early or stay late to complete your work – that is something the CEO is really keen to avoid.
