This role is the definition of an “all-rounder” – a role which covers all aspects of transactional accounting with no two days the same!
The Financial Controller is fantastic – so down to earth, approachable, offers an “open-door policy”, when I met her I thought, who WOULDN’T want to you work for you?!
She needs someone she can put her complete trust and faith into delivering results – someone who she can rely on month after month to get everything prepared and reconciled, so that she can produce the management accounts.
No question too daft, no query too complex – she’s always in the office to support; equally, she will not micro-manage, and will leave the transactional accounting in your capable hands!
Absolutely essential you have experience in purchase and sales ledger and if you’ve experienced payroll processing then that would be a massive bonus as it’s something she’s looking to delegate to the next recruit!
The culture is genuinely so relaxed – it’s how they get their success; everyone is comfortable, everyone knows there’s work to be done but always time for a brew and a natter! In fact, it’s usually the FC who is first to put the kettle on!
Perfect working environment for someone who doesn’t want to take work home – as far as they’re concerned, once the clock hits 5pm, that’s you finished!
