As Courtney, our Senior Administrator, celebrates 10 years at Platinum Recruitment Group, we’re proud to shine a spotlight on her incredible journey — from apprentice to a key figure in our operations.
The Apprentice
After completing her GCSEs, Courtney began college but quickly realised that hands-on experience in the workplace would be more valuable for her career goals. She enrolled in a Business Administration Apprenticeship and soon secured her position at Platinum.
In her first year, Courtney gained insight into how the business operates. Her day-to-day tasks included greeting candidates, formatting CVs, and updating the CRM system — all while learning the ropes of recruitment administration. Her enthusiasm and work ethic stood out early on, and after successfully completing her Level 2 qualification she was promoted to Administrator.
'Excellent' Administrator
As an Administrator Courtney became an essential part of the team. She provided outstanding support to our Recruitment Consultants and Directors, ensuring everything ran smoothly behind the scenes. Whether it was coordinating interview rooms, managing candidate documentation, or organising Platinum events, Courtney’s attention to detail and adaptability made a real impact.
Her ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and her proactive approach helped elevate the standard of internal operations — contributing directly to the success of the wider business.
'Super' Senior Administrator
In 2019 Courtney was promoted to Senior Administrator, taking on the responsibility of managing a team of two administrators. Her role has evolved significantly over the years — she now oversees our accounts and plays a key role in business development whilst still answering the phone and will make you the best brew if you ask nicely!
Courtney embodies Platinum’s values and contributes massively to the positive, collaborative culture we’re proud of. Her efforts haven’t gone unnoticed — she’s won our infamous “Sparkling Personality” award multiple times, a reflection of her energy, warmth, and the respect she’s earned across the business.
Memorable Moments
“I remember my first day like it was yesterday! 16 year old me walking into the office a nervous wreck, watching the consultants having their morning meeting – to now calling these consultants my friends!”
“I don’t think I could ever forget the day I arrived in the morning to Duncan trying to escort a pigeon out of the office, windows wide open, sweeping a brush. It was CHAOS!”
“The first time we climbed Snowdon was absolutely terrifying, we were in some sort of blizzard! I had the most unsuitable outfit on ever (typical me) and we only got half way up and had to turn around before we were going to need rescuing 😭.”
“I’ve been lucky to have been on so many trips with Platinum, but Barcelona tops it for me! 4 days of nothing but none stop laughter with tapas and sangria on tap.”
“My promotion at Platinum is special to me, from being here straight from school to now being 26 with a senior title, I am grateful to have the best job and team of course!”
