The manufacturing industry is booming, and due to the businesses steady growth, my client is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join the team. You will be underpinning the Finance Manager, helping her with the day-to-day accounts, as well as, preparing for month end.
This is a great opportunity if you are looking for more exposure, alongside managing the transactional finance there will be plenty of opportunity to get stuck in with more senior responsibilities including:
- Assisting with the preparation of the annual budget.
- Preparing Quarterly VAT returns.
- Preparing accruals and prepayments.
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly Financial Statements and reviewing.
- Analysing the company’s P&L.
The business also operates on a hybrid structure, where you can work from home 2 days a week. They have found that this has increased staff productivity and gives employees the freedom to manage any outside work commitments.
Ideally you would have completed your AAT studies and want to progress onto ACCA / CIMA. The business and Finance Manager understand the importance of gaining professional qualifications and are happy to support you with your studies.
