The FD and FC of this business were brought in 3 years ago to reshape and revolutionise the finance team.
It’s now all cloud-based, modern, and advanced as opposed to traditional and old school; they want someone who is up to speed on systems, really computer literature and isn’t afraid of change.
They need someone who wants to work in a dynamic culture – maybe you’ve brought up ideas at your current company, but you’re not given the opportunity to implement them, if you want an environment where free-thinking is encouraged, this is the one for you.
You are going to be working alongside two qualified professionals who want to pass on their knowledge and expertise so if you want the opportunity to not only produce the management accounts but also have a real insight into more strategic and operational business matters, they can offer this exposure.
As a pre-requisite, you must have experience of month-end accounting as this is a step up from ledger-based work, so they do need someone who has dipped their toes into more complex responsibilities.
They will then give you the freedom and flexibility to work with them and share your ideas or suggest improvements once you are settled in and have gotten to grips with all processes – they’re not a business to rest on their laurels and stand still!
