Assistant Accountant to the MD

Remote Working / Manchester City Centre

£28,000 – £32,000

An opportunity to work for a cash-rich, highly profitable business with 4 out of the 5 days working from home.

You will be going in as the sole person managing the accounts for this privately-owned SME company; there is no FC – the accountants are city centre based so always on hand for support – but you must be comfortable working autonomously.

What this means is you must be experienced in all aspects of accounting including ledger and month-end close with exposure to management accounts being a real bonus for this role as they are looking to bring this process completely in-house and rely less on the external accountants.

You will be required to work from the city centre office every Wednesday for a de-brief with the Directors and Operations Team but throughout your working week, communication lines via the phone or Teams are excellent so you will never feel isolated.

The company is growing and already have concrete plans for 2024 therefore in 12 months’ time, you will be in a position to recruit a Trainee or Apprentice to support you with the day-to-day transactional finance.
