I am working exclusively with a company in Bury in sourcing a part qualified Assistant Management Accountant to join their well-established and welcoming finance team, offering you a study support package, career longevity and a great work-life balance!

The level of exposure you will gain by joining this company will lay the foundations for you to excel in your finance career. You will be producing the management accounts for not only the parent company but also two subsidiary companies and you will be heavily involved the implementation of a new ERP system, tasked with system testing all the way through to assisting in the roll-out.

This poses a great opportunity for any candidate to come in and be the ‘fresh set of eyes’, voicing your ideas regarding process improvement and implement change where you see necessary.

You will be reporting into and working closely alongside the Senior Management Accountant who has been with the business a number of years so has a wealth of knowledge for you to learn from. The senior MA understands your role inside out as well as the demands of the environment – he has been in the position so can give you valuable, first-hand advice on how to thrive within the company.

Your role will be diverse with no two days being the same; as well as ensuring the management accounts are prepared accurately and to deadlines you’ll also play a lead role in maintaining good internal control with respect to the General Ledger and all sub-ledgers – you certainly won’t be bored!

In terms of career progression, this company doesn’t offer any mapped progression paths but it can offer you a place to qualify, all the while enriching and building an impressive skillset to lay the foundation for a successful accountancy career.
