Senior Payroll Administrator
Manchester City Centre
£30,000 plus bonus of up to 30% and complete benefits package
Senior Payroll Administrator needed however this is anything but a run-of-the-mill payroll position where you’re just inputting data and processing salaries, they want you to get involved in all areas of payroll and beyond and for your accuracy will pay you a substantial monthly bonus!
This role is for a payroll go-getter, someone who will work with the FD to overhaul the benefits programme, streamline processes and make systems as slick as possible alongside running the weekly and monthly payrolls for all staff!
Yes the staff need paying accurately and on time so you must have experience in processing and posting payroll but there is so much more to this job beyond standard payroll – so many projects to get stuck into and they are all ears when it comes to suggestions and new ideas!
They have recently asked all employees what benefits they’d like to see implemented but the FD simply doesn’t have time to roll these out so she’ll delegate this project to yourself – they have a Cycle to Work Scheme which has been given the green light, a 30% bonus scheme that’s to be rolled out to all and an electric car scheme to get up and running.
There is also the prospect of building your own team around you once these benefits are up and running and there’s nothing to say you can’t recruit your own Payroll Assistant in the next 18 months!
This role isn’t for a wallflower; you’ll need to integrate with the staff and be regularly checking in with them re. benefits they’d like to see at the business and you must bridge the gap between the HR and finance function – you’ll essentially be a “go to” and a really key figure in the company so having a voice and being confident is key to succeeding in this role!
