A brand new role created within this supremely successful manufacturing business as their Financial Controller based in Littleborough, bridging the gap between the Finance Director and accounts team as the business continues to grow!
This role offers a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, qualified Financial Controller with a manufacturing background to establish themselves long-term within this expanding SME c.Β£15mil t/o. The Finance Director is looking for their No.2 to run the day-to-day, manage the finance team, encourage continue improvement and support in ad hoc strategic projects.

Overview of responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts with full variance analysis and commentary.
- Oversee a finance team of 4 staff conducting all 1-2-1s, training and mentoring.
- Prepare the annual budgets and forecasting activities.
- Reporting results and intercompany balances to parent company via Cognos interface to deadlines communicated by the Group.
- To manage stock valuation, working with the team to ensure stocks are accurately represented.
- VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax and Research and Development claims.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, employees, suppliers, customers, auditors, advisors, and regulatory bodies, to promote sustainability efforts.
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives off leading teams as well as having full involvement in accounts production and working closing with the SLT. On your profile, we are looking for qualified candidates with manufacturing experience who have operated at a similar level, and thrive off leading teams.
Manufacturing experience is absolute essential for this role.
