Joining a small accounts team within an SME you will take the lead of the accounts function with full support from the Operations Director. With a Finance background himself you will find yourself taking full autonomy of the companies accounts whilst receiving unwavering support and resources from Operations Director and the rest of the team.

Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts: Complete responsibility for compiling and presenting monthly management accounts.
  • Month-End Processes: Handle all month-end tasks, including prepayments, accruals, reconciliations, and in-depth financial analysis.
  • Invoice Processing: Ensure the accurate and timely processing of both sales and purchase invoices.
  • VAT Returns and Tax Liaison: Oversee the submission of VAT returns and serve as the primary contact for HMRC on various tax matters.
  • Cash Flow Management: Manage and forecast cash flow across multiple currencies (USD/GBP) to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
  • Accounts Receivable and Payable Management: Oversee the AR and AP ledgers, including processing transactions and implementing credit control measures.
  • Bank and Auditor Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for daily banking operations, including managing ID accounts, and liaising with auditors for reporting and compliance.
